Based in Washington, D.C., the ORAU director of government relations serves as the company’s primary liaison with the administration, members of the U.S. Congress, congressional staff and federal agencies. The director represents ORAU with the many industry-related associations and coalitions headquartered in Washington, D.C., as well as advocates for ORAU’s mission while communicating the unique capabilities of the company, its employees and university consortium.
The director of government relations serves as a member of the ORAU leadership team, providing strategic planning, issues management, and legislative and regulatory support to ORAU’s business portfolio.
ORAU works with more than 22 different federal agencies, providing innovative scientific and technical solutions to advance national priorities in science, education, security and health. Through specialized teams of experts, unique laboratory capabilities and access to a consortium of more than 100 major Ph.D.-granting institutions, ORAU works with federal, state, local and commercial customers to advance national priorities and serve the public interest.
