ORAU and its Partners Teaming to Coordinate Medical Screenings for Former Energy Workers

In 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) selected Oak Ridge ORAU, Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (CHS), National Jewish Health and Axion Health to spearhead the National Supplemental Screening Program for former DOE workers.

The ORAU team is responsible for:

  • contacting former employees and scheduling them for medical examinations,
  • providing supplemental care in some instances, and
  • providing the employee with their medical results, as well as recommendations for next steps over the next five years.
