FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 29, 2011
OAK RIDGE, Tenn.—Oak Ridge Associated Universities, which manages the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, has been named a 2011 best diversity company by the readers of Diversity/Careers magazine.
Each year, the magazine asks its readers and website visitors to name those organizations that “do the best work in diversity.” For the fifth annual Best Diversity Companies Readers’ Survey, readers and visitors voted during March and April of 2011 in. Voters’ choices were based on their perceptions, formed by their own experiences, their conversations with others, or what they had read about each company.
From the list of submissions, the magazine then selects those companies that received the most positive votes and responses.
The best diversity companies are those that voters ranked at the top for their support of minorities and women, their attention to work/life balance and their commitment to supplier diversity.
