2012 Career Center Discovery Event at Oak Ridge National Laboratory

The 2012 Career Center Discovery Event at Oak Ridge National Laboratory offers participants the opportunity to tour the laboratory, learn what skills are needed for the next generation of great science and research, and discover what opportunities await students and recent graduates. The event is focused on science, engineering, computational, technology, and mathematical majors.

Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC)/ORNL Math-Science-Technology Summer Institute

The Appalachian Regional Commission/ORNL Summer Institute for Math, Science & Technology is a two-week summer program that provides high school students and teachers from the Appalachian region the opportunity to work with scientists from ORNL. The program also includes a variety of outside activities designed to promote teamwork, expose students to college opportunities, and promote pride in the cultural richness and historical importance of the Appalachian region. Students and teachers must be nominated by their school.
