The EPA National Student Services Contract (NSSC) allows ORAU to recruit and hire temporary long-term contractor assignments at EPA’s Office of Research and Development. Long-term temporary contractors collaborate in an intensive hands-on employment experience for up to five years, working side by side with EPA mentors and/or scientists, who will provide day-to-day direction and oversight. The NSSC accepts US Citizens or Legal Permanent Residents who are at least 18 years old and are currently enrolled in a degree program at a recognized educational institution, or a recent graduate (within two years of graduation).

To be eligible for this program, you must be:
- At least 18 years of age, and
- Enrolled in good standing in a degree-seeking program at an accredited U.S. educational institution or a recent (within the last 24 months) graduate with a bachelor’s, master’s or postdoctoral degree, and
- A citizen of the United States of America or a Legal Permanent Resident
EPA ORD employees, their spouses and children are not eligible to participate in this program.
