CFDE Training Center Established

In 2024, Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) and BioData Sage, LLC collaborated with the CFDE to create the Training Center (TC), which serves as a hub for developing and implementing training programs that bridge knowledge gaps, improve access to CFDE resources, and foster collaboration among CFDE and other researchers.

CFDE Training Center Aims

Our Training Center approach is grounded in six aims for comprehensive omics skills development:

  1. Understanding the Specific Areas of Biology Needed for Each Dataset that is Part of CFDE

  2. Leveraging Biological Reference Databases and Querying Biological Data

  3. Automating Computational Tasks with Scripting

  4. Utilizing Programming and Software Tools

  5. Applying Appropriate Statistical Methods and Data Visualization

  6. Leveraging Advanced Computing and Collaboration Tools
