Souvenir Ashtray - American Museum of Atomic Energy (1950s, 1960s)

Souvenir Ashtray- American Museum of Atomic Energy

This souvenir ashtray (3 3/4" in diameter) was sold at the American Museum of Atomic Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, sometime during the 1950s or 1960s. In today's politically correct world, the Museum could only show one of these in an exhibit, not sell it in the gift shop. Still, the gift shop does sell shot glasses that it identifies as "toothpick holders."
