Save a Roentgen Button (1960s)
In the 1960s, Saul Harris initiated a campaign to reduce medical exposures to X-rays. This was known as the "Save a Roentgen" campaign. As a way to promote the concept of dose reduction at the various health physics and medical meetings that he attended, Harris gave out stickers. Later, he switched to buttons like the one shown here.
