Atomic Train (ca. 1950s)

Atomic Train

This is the end car of what originally was a three car set. The first car differed in that it came with a windup motor, a simulated headlight, and metal wheels (vs the plastic wheels on the other two cars). The train ran on a square sheet of lithographed sheet metal having a circular depression embossed into it. This was the "track."

While the manufacturer is not identified, it does say "Made in Western Germany."

Length: ca. 4 1/2" long.

Donated by Joel Lubenau.
