Favorite Touch-up Kit (ca. 1940s, 1950s)

This small touch-up kit (2 1/2" x 2" x 2") was made by a Swiss company that seems to have used the name Favorite. The kit is almost complete, it contains a small glass mixing dish, a metal peg with a white plastic handle for mixing or applying the radioluminescent paint, a brush with a red plastic handle for applying the paint (the bristles have been cut off due to contamination), a small bottle of glue, and a small bottle of thinner (dilution). The hole in the box, underneath the glass dish in the photo, suggests that something is missing. Undoubtedly the hole was used to hold a small vial of radioluminescent paint.
