Perfecto "Claim Striker" Geiger Counter (ca. early 1950s)
This is the "Claim Striker" geiger counter manufactured by Perfecto Radiation Instruments Inc. of Venice, California.
While I have no information about Perfecto Radiation Instruments (other than the fact that it was in a cool location), its name is remarkably similar to Precision Radiation Instruments, a company based in nearby Los Angeles.
Not only that, the "Claim Striker" looks very much like many of the instruments produced by Precision Radiation Instruments, the “Lucky Strike” (shown to the right) for example.
In addition, the "Claim Striker's" ray gun style GM probe (cheap plastic) is superficially similar to Precision Radiation Instrument's "Deluxe Scintillator."
For the above reasons, I am guessing that we are talking about the same company. The only difference being the name. Either "Perfecto" was changed to "Precision" or "Precision was changed to "Perfecto."
