Application Requirements
A complete application includes:
- Current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
list all papers, presentations, or publications you may have authored or co-authored. Include any reprints or abstracts if they are available.
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Research Information Paper
2-4 pages describing your research capabilities and how they, combined with your research interests, can impact the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) research mission. Papers should be tailored to a specific research topic listed for 2025.
Please follow the template below for format and required content of your research information paper:
- Applicant Information: Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Academic Discipline
- Research Capabilities: Concisely explain your research capabilities describing the research you have conducted and the techniques you are familiar with.
- Research Interest: Concisely explain your research interests. What specific DoD area of research you would like to explore. Explain how your expertise can impact the desired research area. Proposed research should be tailored to a specific research topic listed for 2025.
- Outcome: State the expected/desired outcome(s) of the 10-week experience.
- Follow-on Engagement: Include how the research can be continued at your home institution for continued collaboration with the DoD.
