The Department of Defense (DoD) is accepting applications for their 2023 Summer HBCU/MI Faculty Research Fellowship. This program aims to strengthen the collaboration between the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and STEM faculty affiliated with Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) and Minority Institutions (MI). Participation requires a commitment of ten consecutive weeks between May 1 through September 1, 2023. Fellows will receive a stipend. Fellows also receive an allowance to cover costs incurred for research materials, supplies, or travel.
Selected Faculty Fellows will participate in research relevant to the mission of DEVCOM’s Army Research Laboratory (ARL), DEVCOM’s Chemical and Biological Center (CBC), the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR). Other DoD laboratories may be accessible as research interests from the candidates are evaluated.
