Burro Train
The caption for this photo reads: "Burro Train." The ore is being transported from the mining camp to the central ore loading station. Standard Chemical operated a concentrating mill in what is now the Uravan (uranium and vanadium) area. Unfortunately, the album makes no reference to the mill. It is possible that low grade ore went to the mill before going to the loading station, while the high grade ore (e.g., > 2% uranium) might have bypassed the concentrating mill. This, of course, is pure guesswork.
