Members and Staff

The Oak Ridge Sitewide Institutional Review Board consists of members from diverse backgrounds and with a broad range of both scientific and non-scientific expertise, as well as representation from the community. The Board has to include at least one member

• who is not otherwise affiliated with the institution,
• who is not part of the immediate family of a person who is affiliated with the institution,
• whose primary concerns are in nonscientific areas, and
• whose primary concerns are in scientific areas.

Each participating institution has an appointed Human Subjects Protection Coordinator to provide guidance for specific institutional requirements that the principal investigator must follow.

The IRB Administrative Team that provides support to the IRB consists of the IRB Administrators, and the Chair and Vice Chair on the IRB.
