Welcome to the Appalachian STEM Academy – Bridge Student Site!

We are so excited for you to attend Appalachian STEM Academy this summer. Approximately 18 students from throughout the Appalachian Region will participate in the Academy. You will be assigned to a small group of students who will experience authentic research at the University of Tennessee. Throughout the two weeks, you will participate in several awesome recreational and cultural experiences. You can expect to make many new friends, improve your STEM research skills, and have an incredible time.

You will be staying in a residence hall on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. Additional information about the dorm is available in the Travel section of this website. You will be assigned a roommate when you arrive. You will not be given the opportunity to choose your roommate. However, you will complete the Student Travel Form, which is an onboarding card in Zintellect, to allow us to find a compatible roommate. In most cases, participants from the same school are not assigned to the same room. There will be three Resident Teacher chaperones staying with you at the dorm.
