Justin Spence, CHP
Health Physicist and InstructorJustin Spence is a board-certified health physicist with 30 years of experience working with radiation sources and over 20 years of professional health physics experience. He has been a health physicist at ORAU since 2011 and is involved with developing ORAU’s professional training programs as well as developing health physics communication material. Justin has shared his expertise on regulatory issues, applied health physics, air sampling, environmental monitoring, health physics statistics, radiation instrumentation, and gamma spectroscopy to help create videos and animations for customers from public and private sectors. His previous experience outside of ORAU includes roles such as a regulator, emergency responder and a public health professional. Justin holds a B.S. in Geology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was certified by the American Academy of Health Physics in 2016.
