Lt. General John Regni

Background:

Retired Lt. Gen. John F. Regni is a member of the Board of Directors for the DigitalGlobe Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors for the Military Officers Association of America, an adjunct contract professor for the U.S. Air Force and a National Security Advisory Council member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. He is active with Mission: Readiness, and is chairman of the Southwest Defense Alliance. He is a strategic planning consultant.

Regni’s assignments during his 36 years of commissioned service spanned personnel, training, education and command positions. He served as base commander at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. He commanded the Second Air Force, commanded the Air University and culminated his career as commander and superintendent of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He conceived the Academy Energy Strategic Plan and led the effort that put the Air Force Academy on an achievable path to produce 100% of its electricity and to be carbon free by 2025.

Regni served on the Board of Directors for Vantage Mobility International and as a member of the Colorado State University-Global Advisory Council. He was defense and national security adviser to the Arizona Commerce Authority and director of the Aerospace and Defense Initiative of the Science Foundation Arizona. He was a trustee of the Falcon Foundation of the U.S. Air Force Academy.
