3-D Printing and Design (In-person Session)

Target Audience: 6th-12th Grade Math and Science Teachers

Presenter: Nathan Kenner, Engineering Teacher, West High School, Knoxville, TN

This session will offer participants the opportunity to learn how a 3D printer works, explore resources for finding 3D models to print, and learn how to create your own 3D models with free tools like TinkerCAD and OnShape.

Participants should bring a personal laptop containing a standard USB port option.

Participants should create a teacher account at Tinkercad.com and OnShape prior to the training. Participants will also need to download the Prusa slicer software. When starting the slicer software, please choose “Prusa mk3/3s+” options.
